Diversus Health Outreach Team continues the work of the CCP (Crisis Counseling Program) in supporting our community by meeting immediate and ongoing mental health needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our outreach counselors provide confidential, short-term services at no cost throughout El Paso, Teller, and Park counties.

Webinars & Presentations
The outreach team offers presentations to support organizations as they move through the pandemic recovery.
These presentations can be tailored for companies or groups such as businesses, non-profits, veterans/military, faith-based groups, healthcare workers, and first responders to name a few.
We have presented on topics such as Managing Stress & Anxiety, Vicarious Trauma, Change Fatigue, and Resiliency and Coping Strategies.

Evidence-Based Trainings
QPR
QPR is a suicide prevention program that empowers all people, regardless of their background, how to question, persuade and refer someone who may be suicidal.
90 minutes (virtual or in-person)

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge and help connect them to the appropriate care.
8 hours (virtual or in-person)

Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge and connect them to the appropriate care. This program can benefit teachers, school staff, coaches, camp counselors, youth group leaders, parents, and others who work with youth.
8 hours (virtual or in-person)

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
At an ASIST workshop you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive.
2 day (in-person)
