About Me:

While I know that therapy can be intimidating and a big commitment; you will be accepted and welcomed at every session with me. The bravest part is just showing up, so come as you are; and I’ll provide the authentic space for genuine exploration and vulnerability. My goal is to cultivate self-acceptance, kindness and new perspective in our time together. As I’ve seen so far in my experience and the experience of my loved ones and clients; life is often chaotic, hard, and messy, so I hope to infuse our time with some humor so we can lighten the load together.

I’ve been honored to work with many diverse people in my career. While I don’t believe that people only have to come to therapy when we feel broken, I’m here to provide support in crisis and overcoming every day life challenges, pain, struggles, and suffering. I’ve helped many people address, manage, and nurture their anxiety and depression, fears and phobias, gender identity needs, grief and loss, LGBTQIAA+ needs, mood and personality disorders, obsessive and compulsive behaviors, relationship issues, spiritual connection, and trauma.

When you come to therapy, this is your time, and I will ensure I am present for you as my best and most authentic self. My goal is for you to get the space you need to process through attentive, earnest, and compassionate listening. Therapy is often a place where acceptance and change exist together and I will help you to approach both sides with curiosity, exploration, problem solving tactics, and real-life coping skills. While you are the expert in your life and I’m here to understand your experience; I will also equip you with the awareness, empowerment, resilience, and skills to live your life.

At the core of my work, I am an existential therapist that utilizes an eclectic mixture of therapies to cater to each unique person I work with. I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Grief and Loss Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Trauma Based Therapy. Together, we’ll determine what your process looks like.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my spouse and our fur babies. I enjoy time by myself to read, work out, and listen to music. My partner and I love to travel, watch movies, and go to concerts. I can often be found in hot springs or hiking. I love documentaries and funny movies and pizza is my favorite food.

Diversus Health rocks. I don't have any insurance, yet, I can still receive treatment. They care more about people than making money and that is so refreshing. Diversus Health gave me somewhere to start when I didn't know what to do. All I have received from them has been phenomenal. - Tressa
