About Me:

Person Centered Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and EMDR in person are the therapies of choice that I use. I believe trust, genuineness, and humor are some of the most important ingredients when developing a positive client/clinician relationship.

I chose Diversus at a chance meeting with an EMT at the farmers market in Woodland Park. She spoke about the need for mental health services in the rural areas of Victor and Cripple Creek. I had been retired since 2021 with my last job in Michigan, at a major hospital corporation as a social worker in urgent care. We moved to Victor, Colorado in 2021 and the EMT stated there was a position for a LCSW in Cripple Creek. I guess I missed the counseling field so I’m back at work.

I enjoy reading, fishing, hunting, being out in nature, kids, grandkids, music, and art. We are currently building our own house on 35 acres, off the grid on the back of Pikes Peak at 10,000 feet elevation.

I was broken and lost, not knowing which way to go or where to start. A friend called Diversus Health and I've been working with the great therapists there. It's going to be a long haul, but they have made me feel as though I matter and they will help. Thank you to all at Diversus Health. -Stephanie
