Education & Credentials:

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Ashford University

Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, Chicago School of Professional Psychology

About Me:

My name is Melissa Espinoza, and I have a MA in Forensic Psychology. My experience in mental health spans over nine years. My interventions are based on an individual’s needs and the goals we’ve set together. Among the approaches I use are cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, family systems theory, trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, and change theory. Mindfulness or meditation may be used as a part of the foundational principles of improving emotional regulation in oneself.

The reason I chose Diversus is because of the amazing work they do, and the team that comes together as a whole to help our clients and give them the assistance and support that they deserve.

I spend my spare time with my husband and kids. We are still learning the beautiful town of Colorado Springs. We have been living in Colorado for 4 weeks now and have never felt more at home.

The services here are great, even with the pandemic, we have continued to receive treatment via video conferencing. It has been wonderful. - Autumn
