About Me:

I have to begin by stating that this field chose me when I was in elementary school. My family were migrant workers, so I learned the importance of hard work. I have 23 siblings and we were our own community. I have worked in this field and community for over 35 years. Nonprofit agencies seemed the right career path. I have enjoyed working in this community with all its diversities in socioeconomic, racial, and culture just waiting to be discovered. I began attending Pikes Peak Community College and graduated in 1995. I received my BSW in 1999 from the University of Southern Colorado and finally reached my goal in 2004 when I graduated from New Mexico Highlands University and received my MSW. I believe I was searching for a family and Diversus Health appeared to be a large family and an organization I could trust.
